To all those people who seem to be placed on this earth to hurt/upset/humiliate/intimidate me
You will not destroy me. I have come to realise whatever you throw at me in life, if it knocks me down I will get back up and dust myself off (even if it takes a while I will get there
).
I know me. I am happy with me and am finally in a good place and intend to stay there.
You will never ruin me because I know... I know my true worth and its more than you!
@ 09.10.2008 – 13:47:06
It was gorgeous. Aqua in colour with black edgings and a steal at £20.
I ummed and ahhed over buying it as U couldn't really afford it.
But then I decided I'd been doing really well for myself and deserved a treat...
So I log on to my laptop...
Sign in to ebay...
Look up the item...
I am one minute too late!!
Damn it!! The lovely fully steel boned aqua corset is now not mine
@ 08.10.2008 – 14:42:16
And relax!!
So this morning I have...
1. Presented!
2. Been interviewed
3. Died from relief*
I have done all I can now, I juts have to wait. I think the presentation went so much better than I expected ![]()
*may have been exagerated slightly!
@ 02.10.2008 – 14:48:09
Hmmm I may just need some help.
For my interview presentation I have been asked to present the topic
The pros and cons of keeping or removing the Western Extension
of the Congestion Charging Scheme
Maybe some people out there could give me a few views on this?
I am sure I will be able to find out plenty of information, i'd just like to hear a few peoples views ![]()
@ 01.10.2008 – 23:08:03
Well... I got through the assessments and have an interview next week
I am really pleased over that
But I have to do a presentation in my interview
15 minutes long apparently!! I am sooooo scared! I hate presentations ![]()
I haven't been given the details yet, but hope to hear soon. I have decided if I don't hear by friday lunch, I'll call and ask, as I need the weekend to prepare!!
As scared as I am of the presentation, I am actually looking forward to doing the research and building the slides etc
being able to do things like that makes me feel I have a purpose, something that has been lacking recently!!
@ 30.09.2008 – 11:18:12
I saw this site and thought of you..... well I was sure you wouldn't turn down free chocolate now?? ![]()
@ 29.09.2008 – 14:34:33
So this morning I had my assessment for the Traffic Control Engineer. It consisted of a logic test, a pattern recognition and a data manipulation test. I think I did ok, I am sure everyone will have done well too! I should find out in the next week.
Today I am feeling a bit icky. I seem to have picked up a cold from somewhere
I am so glad i didn't have to go through a group test thing, I really didn't feel up to that! All I want to do is go home and sleep right now ![]()
Maybe I'll sneak off a bit early

Hmmm it seems today is going a bit slow... probably because I am off tomorrow (did I mention that??
) Its not too bad but considering I have had quite a busy day I am sure it would have been at least 3pm by now on a normal day
Anyway I have a 6 inch sub sitting on my desk right now! I have already eaten one for lunch but got the footlong as there was a free drink
Strange though I am not hungry enough to eat the rest right now, but all I have eaten today is that first half and a nutrigrain bar
Best get back to things I guess!!
@ 25.09.2008 – 10:30:54
Its Friday!! Or so it feels
Helped by the fact I'm not working tomorrow
Its very rare these days that you get cheerful tube or train drivers but the driver on the tube today was really cheerful and shared his knowledge about the district line
I thought it funny and interesting and left the tube with a smile but most of my fellow passengers are obviously grumopy at heart as they didn't even crack a smile!!
Information he shared...
The district line is about 140 years old and initially went from Westminster to South Kensington
The Northern line is 101 years old
The Victoria line is a baby in comparison at a mere 40 years old
St James's Park is one of six parks on the District line!
So there you go!
@ 23.09.2008 – 10:23:27
Hmmmm.... nope I can't think of anything to say! I was going to log the delays on the tube that must have occurred to the train behind me but it sounded soooo boring I even bored myself writing it
So I have nothing much to say.... except that after today my week is half over as I have friday off
And then Monday morning for the assessment
In other news I am so tired I may fall asleep at my desk!
I don't understand it! I didn't sleep too badly, went to sleep around 11 so quite a reasonable time! Hmmmm!!
@ 22.09.2008 – 12:44:13
I am really having one of those days where I can't be arsed! Depite that I have had a fairly busy morning, involving missing equipment, printing out training slides which somehow went wrong which I noticed after I copied it 12 times.... trying to get responses from about 100 engineers (never an easy thing to do despite the use of email...
) and ordering train tickets!
Its a bit worrying over the missing equipment, because it seems quite a lot has gone missing!! (even an xda charger!!)
I really didn't want to come into work this morning, and the fact that it made me want to cry just shows how much I need a holiday
A proper one, where I have more than 4 days off in a row...
Anyhoo, I have new knee high boots, skirt, top and fishnet hold ups on today
@ 19.09.2008 – 15:57:18
Its been a strange weeks of many upsa and downs, starting at 11am on Monday where I was told that my interview scores were 3rd highest! Fast forward to Tuesday afternoon where I officially get offered the job due to one applicant rejecting it.
I umm and ah over it and decide to take it and inform them Wednesday.
Thursday I find out my manager wants me to undertake the equipment room audit, the one job i really didn't want to do, and get very annoyed and resolve to question said manager as to why it has to be me (I've yet to do this as he's supposed to have arranged a meeting
).
I also hear at somepoint this week that the trainee job I want I should hear whether I have been shortlisted by the end of the week.
Fast forward again to 11am Friday where I am totally convinced that I'd have heard by now, I head to team meeting resigned to the permanent admin job... only to find an invitation for assesments for the trainee job on my return ![]()
Anyway, assesments are to be held a week on monday with interviews the following week, so by mid October I should know
Its true... jobs are like buses...more than one come along after you've been waiting ages...
@ 19.09.2008 – 10:46:36
My work colleague just asked me this question in the kitchen, referring to my top...
I think I am losing my touch I sooooo could have had fun with that
@ 18.09.2008 – 11:16:30
Its just about that time of year where I need to get out my funky tights
I love my funky tights, but wish I could find hold ups like them
In other news, Yesterday I was talking to a work colleague about how being a temp I didn't feel I could take sick days, where as now I'm to have a permanent job I'll not feel bad about taking them... this morning I feel a bit fuzzy headed and sniffly
I blame the other guide leader who has a really bad cold
@ 16.09.2008 – 15:54:53
i am suddenly feeling so closed in by everything...
There's too much stuff on my desk...
People are being too demanding and condescending...
My hands are too dry and thick and I can't type properly...
My clothes are making me itch..
Just a general feeling of frustration, strangling, I feel i need to leave here right now just go home.
I want to scream and rant and cry and I don't want people to talk to me, as they most likely will...
@ 11.09.2008 – 15:57:34
I just took a test on total jobs and it came out with a list of career's that would suit my style of working etc....

Pharmacologist
Lawyer/Judge
Writer/Inventor

Systems Analyst/Support
Webmaster

The only ones I could remotely imagine doing is either Writer/Inventor or Computer animator

I am so tired today, its feeling like this week has gone on forever!
Feels like this morning is dragging a bit too.
The weird thing is though, I don't really want tomorrow to come.... I am dreading the thought of finding out the results of my interview, as I'll have to make a decision! Ah well I guess I will just have to be open and honest, whatever happens!
The coffee I am drinking at the moment is disgusting, I've been spoilt by the nice latte I had today
Can we please skip friday and go straight into saturday?? Thanks
Hmmm I'm a bit sniffly today, and sneezing a lot, I hope I'm not getting a cold!!!
