Many of you may know that I am a leader with my local guide company. Usually I am just a spectator and am there to supervise the girls when we meet.

Today is quite a special day within Guiding as it happened to be the birthday's of our foubnding members, Lord and Lady Baden-Powell.

We usually celebrate with a Thinking day mass, however our little village wanted to do something different as these masses are generally out dated and stuffy! Unfortunately our plans fell through though!

Usually The BBC Beds website runs a message board for guide members to wish everyone a happy thinking day, but it doesn't seem to be updated, although I haven't checked it properly :))

Each year has a different theme and this year our Theme is "Think about Water"

A little weird but the thinking day website says

The theme for 2008 focuses on water’s importance to health and on the issues of access to clean water and water conservation.

So Happy Thinking Day (and sorry to all those nbot interested and found this boring. I just thought I'd mention it :)) )
